The Captain Arthur Fournier, Belfast Harbor, Maine

This tugboat in Belfast Harbor offered me the perfect chance to combine my fascination with infrared photography with my love for boats in general and tugs in particular. The curved lines of the boat played nicely against the straight lines of the highway bridge in the distance.

  1. The action in the clouds on a gray sky day and the paleness of the trees along the coastline are subtle clues that infrared photography was at play here. It brings a classic harbor view into a more serene and magical realm.
