It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of my longtime friend and companion, Wheezie, a Persian cat who gave me her unconditional devotion and who was a great comfort to me through good times and bad. She would wait at the top of the stairs to greet me and would let me know with a loud meow if I was out too long. She needed me as much as I needed her. She will be sorely missed. She truly was the Light Within.
