Blue Heron in Flight, Bridgewater, Conn.

You’d think this heron would know me by now — I have been such a persistent stalker. Today I spied her at the very end of the pond, so I snuck through the brush until I reached a position to capture her at takeoff. All I needed to do was make my presence known and the moment was mine.

  1. A long walk through the prickers, and still you don’t miss the shot. Not many would make the trudge. Even fewer would capture the moment. Hats off, Marc.
