Out in a thunderstorm, I was hoping to capture some flashes of lightning, but the storm passed over too quickly, and I was left to watch as this majestic cloud rose out of the valley, moved toward me and engulfed the trees as it dissipated into a mist that blanketed the field. In a moment, it was gone.

  1. I love the cloud rising at the horizon and the mist dispersing like magic. It is almost ominous. How fortunate to be at the right spot at the right moment. Even if you were trying for lightning — a little imprudently I may suggest– what you did capture is impressive and priceless.
